Maria de Lourdes Severny (also known as Lourdes Romero) is a Mexican film, theater and television actress. She was born in Mexico City and grew up in Morelia Michoacán, where she won the state beauty queen pageant, produced by Televisa. As an 18 year old, her acting career began with stage productions such as Don Juan Tenorio, Cena de Matrimonios, Mi Marido Me Salio Lilo, A Mi Mujer la Aguantas Tú, and more. Soon after, Maria de Lourdes Severny was selected from 8,000 applications to be part of the Televisa 3 year conservatory, Centro de Educación Artista (CEA). Following this experience, Lourdes transitioned into television and appeared in shows such as Mujer Casos de la Vida Real, Bajo la Misma Piel, El Diario de Daniela, Piel de Otoño, Dekada and Rubi. In theater, she appeared in Dangerous Liaisons, Pajaro en Mano, El Viaje Superficial. Lourdes also acted in commercials for Sears, Gigante, Shampoo Grisi, Telmex, Homex, and Blockbuster. When she was 26 Lourdes Severny studied acting for film in NY at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) and acted in films Consequences by Juan Pablo Blanco, Fetografia by Flora, Sheila by Kumi Ishii, XO by Andrei Severny, Asia by Laura Pino, Galeria de Arte by Cronos XT, Confusion by Shara (TNT), Cardinal no. 7 by Jesus Pimentel, A Love Story by Shara. In 2012 Lourdes moved to New York, where she is part of the The Stella Adler Studio of acting. She has continued her film career completing three projects in 2016: Dreamer, Strawberry Flavored Plastic and She Was Asked Her Age. In theater, Women of New York.
