Biography

Madeline Andriesen

Madeline Andriesen, soprano, is a current Masters of  Vocal Arts Performance student at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. She graduated with a dual degree Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Growing up in Haines, Alaska, Andriesen sang in multiple musical groups and honor choirs. Through her time at UAF she competed and performed in vocal competitions and ensembles as a soloist including the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Anchorage Concert Chorus Vocal Scholarship Competition, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, Choir of the North, Ensemble 64.8, and various other ensembles. Andriesen has also conducted ensembles such as the Northland Youth Discover Choir and the Fairbanks West Valley Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Steel Drum Band. Most recently, Andriesen performed Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro with the Austrian American Mozart Academy, Stewardess in Jonathan Dove’s Flight and Erste Dame in scenes from Die Zauberflöte with USC Thornton Opera, and assorted scenes with the Fairbanks Summer Arts Opera Program. Her appearances for the 2023/24 season include Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte at the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival.
