Biography

Madeline Andriesen

Madeline Andriesen, soprano, recently graduated with a Master’s of Music in Vocal Arts Opera Performance from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music (USC). She holds dual Bachelor’s of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF).

Hailing from Haines, Alaska, Andriesen has a rich musical background, having participated in various musical groups and honor choirs during her upbringing. Throughout her academic journey at both UAF and USC, she has actively competed and performed in vocal competitions and ensembles as a soloist. Some notable competitions and ensembles include the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, Anchorage Concert Chorus Vocal Scholarship Competition, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra, Choir of the North, Ensemble 64POINT8, the Inner City Youth Orchestra of LA, session singing with the USC Department of Cinematic Arts, and a Solo Benefit Concert with the Chilkat Performing Arts Center, among others.

Andriesen’s recent performance highlights include Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro with the Austrian American Mozart Academy, Stewardess in Jonathan Dove’s Flight with USC Thornton Opera, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, La Comtesse in Massenet’s Cherubin with USC Thornton Opera, the Mother in the Juniper Tree by Phillip Glass with USC Thornton Opera, and Chorus in Iolanthe with the Houston Gilbert and Sullivan Society.
