Praised as "a graceful and comfortable interpreter," soprano Monica Ramich was mostly recently seen as Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore) with the Off-Monroe Players and as a featured soprano soloist with the newly-formed Mysterium Vocal Chamber Ensemble. Her other recent appearances include Laetitia (The Old Maid and The Thief), Cinderella (The True Story of Cinderella), and Belinda (Dido and Aeneas). Equally at home on the concert stage, Monica has performed as the soprano soloist in works such as Bach’s "Magnificat in D," Handel’s "Messiah," and Mozart’s "Vesperae Solennes de Confessore." She has appeared as a featured soloist with Opera Ithaca, Rochester Lyric Opera, IC Bach Chamber Orchestra, Roberts Wesleyan College Community Orchestra, and various choral ensembles. Monica has also performed several world premieres of new classical vocal works at venues such as the DiMenna Center for Classical Music in NYC. She has been recognized in multiple vocal competitions, including winning the Encouragement Award in the Lucine Amara Art Song Competition (2022) and placing as a finalist in the Art Song/Oratorio Division of The American Prize National Performing Arts Competition (2020).
