Dear one,
I am Steffi Dietz, an artist venturing through the scope of life. I am born in Canada and currently living in Germany. I speak French, English, and German.I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Montreal in Voice Performance. There I portrayed Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica production. Also, I performed Schubert’s work as a soloist with the university chorus. My debut role was the Contessa from the opera Le Nozze di Figaro in Montreal (2011).
After living in Austria, I joined the Kapellsbergs Opera Studio in Sweden. My participation in the Härnösand Opera Academy and Festival 2016, points out a finest potential as Violetta Valery. Where I sang extracts from La Traviata and Die Fledermaus (Rosalinda). With the Kapellsberg Opera Studio, I have participated in many concerts, opera productions, masterclasses, collaboration with renom artists and even a tour in Finland.
The lockdown of 2020 has shaken the entire world as so of my discipline. As for now, I qualify myself as a performance Artist, where my singing voice is no more definite to the classical repertoire but open to genres that elevate any projects with my voice. In 2021, I made my debut on the German theater scene as a singing Actress under the Stattsteater Dresden - Bürgerbühne. The German Theater scene is a new arc to my competencies. This new venue let me to be based in Berlin.
In conclusion, I am a refined artist that is always ready to challenge my perspective to bring the best in performance. I have lived in six different countries. I have met the challenge of reconstructing myself over and over again through languages, living spaces, and discomfort, by being true to my heart.
Therefore my presence on stage or collaboration remains significant, and is a gage of any successful endeavor
Truly,
Steffi Dietz
