Biography

Tara Malabug Kitchelt

Tara Malabug Kitchelt is an emerging Filipino-American soprano based in the DMV area. She recently portrayed Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Chicago Summer Opera. Her other notable performances include Flora in Britten’s Turn of the Screw, Noémie in Massenet's Cendrillon, Zweite Dame in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Marianne in Romberg’s The New Moon, and Mrs. Fiorentino in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. Tara earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
