Supernumeraries are onstage extras — non-speaking, non-singing, and modestly paid, yet they fully participate in the onstage action, lend energy and power to the production, and help the singers give their very best performances.
If you are applying to be a supernumerary, you must be available for rehearsals beginning 3–4 weeks before opening night, as well as for all performances (see schedule below). Rehearsals are usually scheduled from 7:30pm–10:30pm on weeknights with occasional rehearsals on the weekends. Performances usually begin at 7:30pm; Sunday Matinees begin at 2:00pm.
Auditions are open to everyone, and we need 16 supers for "Orpheus and Eurydice" and 13 for "La bohème."
