Applicants must have two memorized selections to offer, including one aria or art song in a foreign language; preferably Italian, French, German, or Russian. One of the two selections offered may be in English if you feel it shows your voice to better advantage. You may also be asked to sight-read or perform a rhythm exercise. An accompanist will be provided but will not be available to rehearse with you prior to your audition. We ask you provide legible hard copies of your selections in the correct key for the pianist.

Position: Chorus Director and Head of Music
Reports to: General Director and CEO, Music Director
Status: Full-time, exempt
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Director and CEO and the Music Director of The Dallas Opera (TDO), the Chorus Director and Head of Music is responsible for all duties inherent with being Chorus Director as well as overseeing the administration of the chorus and music staff and organizing cuts and musical versions of each production. In addition, the Chorus Director and Head of Music will collaborate to ensure the highest musical standards within all aspects of the company programming.
The Chorus Director and Head of Music will work closely with other members of the TDO staff including the Director of Operations, Music Librarian, Operations Administrator, and Director of Education.
Up to three finalists will be invited for residency in Dallas to participate in chorus preparations for the 2023/2024 season. The selected candidate will begin full-time with the 2024/2025 season.

Position Description
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Sales, and Patron Services, this position is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic and comprehensive marketing plan for group sales and audience development that meets or exceeds annual attendance and revenue goals. The Group Sales and Audience Development Manager oversees the budget and implements sales tactics, co-promotions, events, and other initiatives developed as part of the annual marketing plan. This position also works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop new (and leverage existing) arts, education, community, and corporate partnerships.
