Work Schedule: Festival activities are scheduled Tuesday through Sunday within the hours of 10:00 am-10:00 pm. Individual schedules vary according to rehearsal, coaching, performance, and training assignments. Dress rehearsals may extend later. Monday is the Festival's regular day off.
Central City Opera’s 2027 season features mainstage productions of Puccini's LA BOHEME, Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS PINAFORE, and Peter Quilter's END OF THE RAINBOW.
Position Summary: Two individuals, one specializing in Collaborative Piano & the other specializing in Operatic Conducting, will join the 2027 Festival to participate as Fellowship Artists under the supervision of the Head of Music and alongside the music staff, and working closely with members of the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program in training classes, auxiliary programming, and mainstage rehearsals as assigned. The Pianist Fellow will coach and perform opera scenes with BSFATP Studio Artists and may be assigned recital repertoire to coach, prepare, and perform. Additional assignments include attending services and meetings integral to music staff as assigned and running supertitles for up to two mainstage performances.
