James D’León once again joins the Arizona Philharmonic String Quartet for another stunning piano quintet concert. Violinist Katie McLin, other principal string players of Arizona Philharmonic, and D’León present Haydn’s classical Piano Trio No. 39 in G major, Robert Schumann’s luscious Piano Quintet, and Paul Schoenfield’s jazzy and sensuous Cafe Music.

Serenades and Symphonies

Description

The full orchestra concert features Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4, Dvorák’s Serenade for Winds, Cello and Bass, and Martinu’s Sinfonietta La Jolla.

Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony showcases Beethoven’s mastery of classical form, while hinting at the more daring and innovative Romantic expression that would come to define his later works.

Dvorák’s Serenade for Winds, Cello and Bass highlights much of Arizona Philharmonic’s wind section in a colorful work of lyricism and Czech rhythms.

Martinus lively Sinfonietta La Jolla evokes the spirit of the sun-drenched Californian shores.

Rainer and Friends Ballet Gala

Description

On September 30, 2023, international stars of classical ballet will perform at the Hendrix Auditorium at 300 S. Granite Street, Prescott, AZ 86303, on the Mile High Middle School campus. This program, hosted by Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet, starts at 7pm.

The program will feature ballet stars dancing classical ballet favorites, selected by Rainer Krensetter to represent the artistry and excitement of classical ballet.

Guest professional dancers include, Tricia Albertson, Jennifer Lauren, Rachele Buriassi, Suzette Logue, Steven Loch and Ariel Rose. Unblanche Company from Tokyo will be dancing, Arizona Philharmonic will be providing the musical accompaniment, three local dance schools will be presenting material, and Jen Martin will be doing aerial circus.
