Description
A true bucket-list trip for musicians, join us in historic Vienna where we’ll sing in the elegant Musikverein. Known for its acoustics as one of the world’s greatest concert halls, it is the home of the Vienna Philharmonic and site of the famous annual New Year’s concert.
To commemorate Bruckner’s 200th birthday, we’ll perform his monumental Te Deum for chorus and orchestra, which premiered in this very hall in 1886. The program also includes Schubert’s energetic Magnificat and Elgar’s heartfelt The Music Makers. Dr. Erin Freeman, Artistic Director of The City Choir of Washington and Director of Choral Activities at George Washington University conducts her fourth BCI week.
