Come to Bespoke House on March 18th to see literature inspired Burlesque, Drag, Fire & more as local artists donate their craft for a good cause; Putting Banned Books BACK in the reach of students. 176 books have been removed from classrooms in Duval County, Florida, after politicians did sweeping legislation, for “review.” They have been kept in storage for 10 months with little indication of when they might return to classrooms. The removed titles were part of the Essential Voices Classroom Libraries Collection, purchased by the district in 2021. This collection “features characters representing a variety of ethnicities, religious affiliations, and gender identities" which help students see themselves and process educational material easier. 3.18.23 Doors 8pm, Show at 8:30pm, ID required(adult humor & entertainment) $5 donation OR Donate a banned book! visit Dangerdamesfl.com for more info
