Originally incorporated as the Delaware Valley Lyric Opera Guild, DVOC was started in 1979. The intention of its founders was to offer a stepping stone for singers, providing training and education through exposure to all facets of operatic production, and performance opportunities in a variety of operas.

Description
"Knightly News" is an opera written by Jonathan Stinson for children. It features characters from well-known fairy tales like "Cinderella," "Little Red Riding Hood," and "The Three Little Pigs". The plot revolves around Little Red and one of the Three Little Pigs searching for their missing family members, encountering Prince Charming who is now a news reporter, and the Big Bad Wolf, who tries to hinder their quest.
