Description
The academy is the dance education program of the 2nd Street Performing Arts Center. Our classes are designed to appeal to the recreational dancer or individuals looking to further their dancing career and aspirations. Downriver Dance Academy has provided the background and discipline that has taken many students to professional careers.
The mission of Downriver Dance Academy is to develop each student’s unique talent and to explore dance as a creative outlet. Through expert instruction we allow students to tap into their individual artistry and inspire each dancer's creativity and imagination. We encourage personal growth and maximize each student's potential. We set goals individualized to each student's needs through a structured learning environment. Our priority is to provide a safe, judgment-free space and encourage self-expression where students can be inspired to grow, learn, and express their creativity.
