The opening event of the 38th Peruvian International Flute Festival will take place at the Cathedral Basilica of Lima on May 22 at 7pm. Making her 5th appearance at the festival, flutist Christine Beard will be joined by flutist Lauren Zwonik in a performance of Telemann's Double Concerto in E Minor, TWV 52-e1 for piccolo, flute and string orchestra.
Flutist Christine Beard makes her 5th appearance at the Peruvian Flute Festival in Lima, this time bringing flutist Lauren Zwonik with her to perform a recital of contemporary works for 2 flutes. Their program includes "Birds" for piccolo, flute and alto flute by Herman Beeftink (with Sini Reuda, alto); "Intuition" for 2 flutes by Samuel Zyman; and "Life Lines" for 2 flutes and backtrack by Nathalie Joachim. The concert will take place at the Japanese Cultural Center of Lima at 7:30pm.
