FIO Italia

The Festival of International Opera for emerging professionals brings together some of the best voice faculty, conductors, stage directors, and opera staff to train young singers for an international stage experience. In 2012, the effort of dozens of amazing professionals gave birth to FIO AMERICAS and its first season in 2013. It was an amazing adventure in Brazil, in partnership with the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), presenting three fully-staged operas, and touring in six different cities in the State of São Paulo. In 2018, we expanded to Europe. Our acronym remains FIO for Festival of International Opera, while you will see either the organization’s full name or the name of a location underneath our logo. In addition to our partnership with CIA. MINAZ in Brazil, we established a collaboration with CENTRO STUDI ITALIANI for our upcoming seasons. In the next few months, we will reveal more information about the exciting future of FIO!
