About
The USConcert is the oldest symphony orchestra in The Netherlands: it was founded in 1823, the year Beethoven wrote his famous Ninth Symphony. The USConcert is a student orchestra based in Utrecht. It exists of ninety students of Utrecht University who share a passion for music. At the 190th anniversary of the USConcer the Fifth Symphony of Gustav Mahler was performed. The USConcert has a repertoir from late Romanticism to contemporary music and there is always a special wish to perform compositions written by Dutch composers.

Description
Anna will serve as understudy in the role of Kitty Oppenheimer, wife of the creator of the atomic bomb, Robert Oppenheimer, in Lustrum Opera's production of Doctor Atomic by John Adams. This production is the main event in a larger festival that involves spoken word, visual art and live music bring the visitors into the world of Los Alamos in 1945, where Doctor Atomic opera takes place. The audience comes in contact with those involved in the Manhattan Project and experience the events of the opera as if they were present themselves. The festival and opera take place at the Werkspoorkathedraal in Utrecht.
