Description
Each summer, the MacBeth Concert Series thrills Chebeague audiences with an eclectic mix of jazz, classical and opera music. It began 26 years ago with a single concert. Our 2026 season will present an astounding ten performances, all featuring artists acclaimed throughout the music world. Audience members leaving our concerts can be heard to exclaim, “Aren’t we lucky to have such beautiful music on our beloved island?” We truly are.
Our 2026 season will be replete with highlights. We are following last year’s triumphant performance of South Pacific with Gilbert and Sullivan’s celebrated light opera, The Pirates of Penzance. It will feature a full cast composed of both professional actors and singers and talented Chebeaguers. We have added a unique Concert in Littlefield Woods and will delight Children of All Ages with a musical depiction of Where the Wild Things Are. Click here to see the full schedule.
The MacBeth Concert Series is supported primarily by gifts from our very generous concert-goers. We also are grateful for grants we have received from the Recompense Fund and the Raymond Family Foundation. These gifts mean that admission to all of our performances is free. For more information contact Carl Tubbesing or John Howard.
