Mesquite Symphony Orchestra

The Mesquite Symphony Orchestra is the resident orchestra of the Mesquite Arts Center. We present live, concert music to the Mesquite community and beyond. Similar to some European traditions, the musicians of the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra believe every village and town should have its own ensemble. Therefore, each volunteers his or her time for the community, forsaking money for the sheer thrill of playing the music they love. This passion permeates each concert, too, and draws in many of North Texas's top musicians. And the ensemble has been at it for more than 30 years, triumphing as an essential force of the region's cultural climate, while cultivating new crops of classical and pops music lovers. Over its 30+ years, the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra has developed a season of programs that speak to all tastes. Our music is richly varied: you'll recognize well-known pieces by Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi, Haydn...tunes from some of your favorite movies, old and new...swing and jazz that will evoke visions of Sinatra...and special songs that speak to children. And of course, our wonderful December program gets everyone in the holiday mood!
