NourishNYC

NourishNYC was founded in May 2020 by Tania Maree Giordani, who transformed her social media presence to crowdsource funds and provide support to protesters fighting against systemic racism and police brutality in New York. Partnering with local businesses and other mutual aid groups, NourishNYC distributed first-aid supplies, water, food, transportation and personal protective equipment to protesters and anyone in need. As the organization has grown, we have expanded our approach to community care by not only supporting NYC-based activists, but by also providing basic necessities to those in need, connecting folks with resources to care for their physical and mental wellness, and developing and providing educational materials to stimulate intellectual and artistic curiosity.
