Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards

The Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards (OEAA) recognize some of the most talented artists and entertainers in the Omaha area. Our mission is to enhance our community by planning and producing an annual awards event that uniquely recognizes the performing arts, visual arts, and live music of the Omaha area. With all-star talent and red carpet prestige, the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards offers a memorable evening that thanks the artists who keep Omaha culture alive. Voting for the awards is separated into three genres: Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Live Music. Here is the process: 1) First, the public votes on the nominees and public nominations close on September 1st of every year (the time frame of eligibility is 9/1-8/31 for any given year). An accounting firm then tallies the votes and determines top nominees in each category. 2) Next, initial ballots are sent to each genre's review committees to analyze the public nominations and ensure they fit the criteria and are placed in the correct categories. 3) Finally, the top nominees in each category are put on a final ballot that is sent to members of the OEAA Academy, consisting of over 175 established artists, industry professionals and cultural journalists. These tallied ballots determine the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards winners.
