Mitchell Hernandez performed in the ensemble of Robeson, a new opera by Scott Davenport Richards and David Cote, presented by PEAK Performances at the Alexander Kasser Theater. Directed by Robin Guarino, the work explores the extraordinary life, artistry, and activism of Paul Robeson, examining his fight for equality and the personal consequences of his entanglement in the political struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union.
