Born in Wuhan and raised in Guangzhou, China, Ricky Feng Nan has quickly become one of most dynamic, versatile, and promising singing actors of his generation. He was most well known for his appearance on the sensational Chinese singing reality TV shows “Super Vocal “and “City of Musicals”, which he gained major public attention and popularity with his excellent performances and stage charisma.

In 21/22 season, Ricky has been a frequent guest artist for various national televised tv shows and gala performances in China. His performance of 《Serious Classical Suite》on CCTV-1(China Central Television)’s 2022 Chinese New Year Web Gala has received over 1.5 billion views world-wide. Ricky was also invited to perform at the 2022 Beijing Model Award ceremony on Beijing Radio & Television station. And his interpretation of 《Belle》and 《Lune》from the musical “Notre Dame de Paris “ on TV show “The City of Musicals”made him one of the most in-demand singing actor in China. His performances on “Beijing Great Wall Concert”and “Liyang Rice field Concert “was also broadcasted on National TV. This season, Ricky was invited to be on a national tours of recitals performing Mozart and Verdi arias with his long-time operatic idol and mentor Yijie Shi.

Throughout Ricky’s career, he has performed with premier’s ensembles including China Opera Theatre Orchestra, Tianjin Opera Orchestra, Shenzhen Grand Theatre Philharmonic Orchestra, Suzhou Philharmonic, Guangzhou Philharmonic, The Orchestra Now, Central City Opera, Opera Theatre of Connecticut, Tri-Cities Opera for different operas and concerts. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall as the soloist of symphonic cantata “Men of Iron and the Golden Spike “by composer Zhou Long in 2019. Some of Ricky’s operatic and musical theatre roles included title role of the opera Marco Polo, Rinuccio in Giannis Schicchi, Young Gypsy in Aleko, Belfiore in La finta giardinera, Lu JiaChuan in Song of the Youth, Martin in The Tender Land, Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance. Ricky made his debut at Tri-Cities Opera’s production “Speed Dating Tonight “in 2014, and he is also grateful for his experience participating the young artist programs of iSing! International Young Artist Festival(2019), Central City Opera (2017) and Miami Music Festival (2016).

Ricky earned his undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Binghamton, and he went on and complete a graduate performance degree at Northwestern University and a MMA degree from Yale University.
