Biography

Anastasiya Taratorkina

The talented German-Russian soprano Anastasiya Taratorkina won both First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 70th International ARD Music Competition in Munich in 2021. Her voice and her compelling stage presence mark her out as one of the most promising young artists of her generation.

Since the 2022/23 season, Anastasiya has been a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, where she made acclaimed debuts in the title role of the world première of Oryx and Crake by Søren Nils Eichberg, as Gilda (Rigoletto), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Marzelline (Fidelio), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Ännchen (Der Freischütz) and Nannetta (Falstaff).

She has also appeared at renowned opera houses including Oper Frankfurt (Susanna), Opernhaus Zürich (Valencienne), Theater Bonn (Gilda), Theater Basel (Woglinde), Aalto Musiktheater Essen (Sophie) and the Semperoper Dresden, where she made a triumphant house debut as Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo alongside Rolando Villazón, accompanied by the Lautten Compagney Berlin.

In addition to opera, Anastasiya nurtures a deep passion for chamber music. Together with fellow ARD prize winners she toured southern Germany, performing songs by Clara Schumann, Poulenc, Fauré and Debussy. Her captivating performances have taken her to the Mozartfest Würzburg, the Schwarzwald Musikfestival and Studio 2 of Bayerischer Rundfunk.

Anastasiya has collaborated with distinguished conductors and directors including Alan Gilbert, Matthias Foremny, Antonello Allemandi, Michael Güttler, Heiko Mathias Förster, Konrad Junghänel, Will Humburg, Wolfgang Katschner, Nikolaus Habjan and Evelyn Herlitzius.

As a soloist, she has appeared with leading orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Collegium Musicum Basel, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Prague Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and the Hessisches Staatsorchester Wiesbaden. She has performed in prestigious venues including the Tonhalle Zürich, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Herkulessaal in the Munich Residenz and the Stadtcasino Basel, and has delighted audiences with radiant Baroque arias in the Frauenkirche Dresden and the Kurhaus Wiesbaden.

Since the 2024/25 season, Anastasiya has been engaged at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she has already appeared as Adele in Die Fledermaus and Oenone in Phèdre. In the 2025/26 season she will make her role debuts as Alphise in Les Boréadesand Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites, and will also perform as Gilda (Rigoletto) and Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier).

Anastasiya studied with Prof. Olga Egudina at the Glinka Conservatoire in Novosibirskand completed her studies with Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden.
