Bradyn Debysingh is a rising haute-contre tenor from Cottage Grove, Oregon. He recently made his Carnegie Hall debut as an award-winning finalist in the Lyndon Woodside Oratorio-Solo Competition and performed in Germany with the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart under the baton of Hans-Christoph Rademann. Bradyn frequently solos with Northwestern's Alice Millar Chapel Choir and has performed with Classic Lyric Arts, Red Mountain Theatre Company, and the John G. Shedd Institute. His past credits with Northwestern Opera include Parpignol in La bohème and Toby in The Medium. In January, he will star in the world premiere of Paul Herman’s new opera, The Gift, with South Bend Lyric Opera. He holds a B. A. in Classics and B. F. A. in Musical Theatre from Samford University and currently studies voice with W. Stephen Smith at Northwestern. An avid classical scholar, Bradyn’s work in Greek and Latin has been twice presented at the Classical Association of the Middle West & South and he is also a published poet and tap dancer.
