Ever since his debut with the Taiwanese Baroque Camerata in 2018, performing a series of Vivaldi Concertos, Cheng-Cian Li frequently appears in major international chamber music festivals, including Heifetz International Music Institute, Bowdoin International Festival, Summit International Festival, and many others. Li performs regularly in Taiwan, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, in recitals, concertos, and chamber music performances.
Born in Taiwan and raised in Saudi Arabia/Taiwan/New York, he has worked for many years under the tutelage of internationally renowned violinist Richard Lin. He has had the privilege of taking part in lessons and masterclasses with esteemed violinists, including Aaron Rosand, Patinka Kopec, Judith Ingolfsson, Itamar Zorman, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Christina Khimm Rosand, Benny Kim, among others. Li has won the National Music Competition of Taiwan in 2018 and 2020, Mary Smart Competition at the Summit Music Festival, International Sanders Music Competition in Shanghai, and many other competitions, both nationally and internationally.
As of 2024, Li is an upcoming faculty member of the Flushing Music School & Academy located in Queens, New York.
Currently a rising junior at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, Li will earn a Bachelors of Music degree in 2026 studying under the violinist Nicholas Mann.
