Opera News aptly praised Courtney Miller’s “fluent musicality.” Known for her “captivating stage presence” and “excellent sense of comic timing,” this season as a Resident Artist at Opera San José, she sings Gertrude in Romeo et Juliette, Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Giovanna in Rigoletto. Earlier in 2023, she debuted with Pocket Opera as Nancy in Albert Herring and was a fellow of the Somatic Song Institute with 3340 Recitals. Her new art song recital, Tell me the truth about love, tours in 2024. Career highlights include Sister St. Charles in Dialogues of the Carmelites (San Francisco Opera); Hannah in The Passenger (Detroit Opera); Olga in Eugene Onegin (Florida Grand Opera); Meg in Little Women (Madison Opera); and Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Opera Saratoga).
