In the fall of 2025, Cris began attending the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as the recipient of the Indiana Premier Young Talent Award studying under Bryan Hymel. From the fall of 2024 to the spring of 2025 Cris was a voice student at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, studying under Kimberly Brotherton.
