Dominique Côté

Baritone Dominique Côté, native of Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire in Quebec, is hailed by the public and critics for his warm voice and his moving performances. First opera prize at the international Canary competition chaired by Gabriel Bacquier, audience prize in Marmande, Dominique likes to navigate all the musical universes that his voice allows him to approach. The New York Times recently called her performances "fine vocal performance" for her recent performances with Opera Lafayette in New York and Washington. Her "virtuoso" interpretation of the Countess in Les Feluettes at the Edmonton Opera has been praised by audiences and critics alike. Last winter he enjoyed immense success in the title role of Nelligan at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in Montreal and on tour. Opera News highlighted its "excellent" performance of the Earl of Comminge in Hérold's Le Pré aux Clercs at the Wexford Opera Festival last year. The recent recording of La Société Anonyme des Messieurs Prudents by Beydts and Guitry with the Orchester Avignon-Provence under the direction of Samuel Jean, in which he performed the Grand Industriel.
