Estefanía Maldonado is a Puerto Rican soprano and graduate of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance.
In the summer of 2025, she made her European debut as a fellow at the Trentino Music Festival in Italy, performing Oberto in Handel’s Alcina and Echo in Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos. These productions were directed by José María Condemi and David Gately, with conductors Neal Goren and Arthur Fagen, respectively. During the festival, she worked closely with renowned soprano Marina Costa-Jackson, vocal coach Paul Plummer, and artist manager Mitchell Piper.
Her previous summer training includes two seasons (2022, 2023) with the Canto Vocal Programs, singing Sorella Infermiera in Puccini’s Suor Angelica and participating in multiple gala concerts. During the 2022–2023 academic year, she was an active member of the Conservatory’s opera theatre, performing scenes from Le nozze di Figaro, L’elisir d’amore, and Die Zauberflöte, as well as the role of Laurette in Bizet’s Le Docteur Miracle. That same year, she premiered the art song La Dolce Vita by A. Guidobaldi.
Estefanía has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned artists such as Elīna Garanča, Justino Díaz, and Lisette Oropesa, and has been the recipient of educational scholarships supporting her summer studies, including sponsorship from the Kinesis Foundation, for whom she has performed at gala events.
Earlier in her musical journey, she performed with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra in its annual holiday concert Reyando con la Sinfónica, and appeared in two consecutive productions of Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors with the Libre School of Music in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
