Halston Strange (she/her) performed with Celebrity Cruises for three years, where she worked as a production dancer, dance captain, production swing, and aerialist for multiple inaugural casts. As well, Halston has participated in multiple residential theater shows, including 42nd Street with Music Theatre Wichita.
Currently, Halston works as an Install Director for Celebrity Cruises where she teaches and restages the company’s production shows to incoming casts before traveling to the ships to install them onboard. Halston has had over ten years of teaching experience for mostly K-12 dancers in a studio setting. Starting her teaching career working with inner-city children in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Halston hopes to create an inclusive and safe space for all who enter the classroom.
Halston has had choreography showcased twice in University of Arizona School of Dance’s Student Spotlight Showcase. As well, Halston has choreographed and appeared in multiple dance on film projects, where she even filmed and edited her most recent project. Throughout her teaching career, Halston has choreographed numerous pieces in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary for local dance studios used in either a recital, festival, or competition setting.
In May of 2017, Halston obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dance Pedagogy from Oklahoma City University, specializing in teaching numerous styles of dance to K-12 dancers. Halston is currently working towards her Master of Fine Arts in Dance at the University of Arizona and will receive her degree in May of 2023.
