Joe Nedder is a 22 year-old composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. In high school, Joe studied at the Rivers School Conservatory, and completed summer programs at the Berklee College of music and NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. In 2018, Joe got his professional start serving as a trombonist and vocalist for Boston-based swing band the Beantown Swing Orchestra. Joe went on to pursue a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, Joe composed, arranged, and played lead trombone for the Northwestern University Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Small Ensemble. He played trombone for several pits at the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts, and composed for a variety of student sitcom pilots and short films. Joe has worked as a freelance musician in both the New England and Chicagoland areas. He served as the songwriter, trombonist, and lead singer of Chicago based Pop/R&B group Morning Dew, while also recording and playing for groups such as Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Couch the Band, and the original cast album of Abandon All Hope. He currently works as a composer for White Stork/APEX Music sound libraries, and was recently selected as the commissioned composer for the 2022 Rivers Jazz Festival.
