with friends.

I believe that music has metaphysical and healing properties, and my main desire is to convey emotion to people.

Biography

Jovana Kojić

Born in Valjevo, small town in Serbia, Jovana Kojić is one of the few lyrical coloraturas with a rich dramatic color that captivates with a sumptuous sound.

At the very beginning, her parents enrolled her in a music school for the instrument flute, which she played for ten years, completing primary and secondary school education. Along with high school, driven by her great love for singing, she decides to study Opera. After finishing high school, she entered the Academy of Arts and went to Novi Sad for Bachelor and Master academic studies, where she gained knowledge, met many great artists and expanded her interest.

During her studies, Jovana had the opportunity to perform in numerous ceremonial halls and stages throughout our country, including performances at A-fest in the Rector's Hall University in Novi Sad; in the cultural stations of Svilara and Eđšeg; City Hall in Novi Sad; Endowments of Ilija M. Kolarac in Belgrade. As a guest of professor Vesna Aćimović, she performed at the ''New Year's concert at the National Theater'' in Sombor as well as at the ''Concert dedicated to the feast of  St. Cecilia'', the patron saint of singers in the Roman Catholic Church of St. Simon and Judas Thaddeus in Bezdan.

She won first prize and a special award for the performance of the aria "Eccomi in lieta vesta..Oh quante volte" by Vincenzo Bellini at ''The International Competition Vera Kovač Vitkai'' and performed as one of the winners at the gala concert in the City Hall of Novi Sad

During that time, she fell in love with theater and acting and she participated in numerous student films and projects for the Academy. Cooperation with the students of the Drama department meant a lot to her in her stage, but also singing development.

She completed her master's degree this summer with the role of Adina, from Donizetti's opera ''L'elisir d'amore''.
She made her debut this summer at ''JM International World meeting place Grožijan 2022." with Opera Pannonica, as the Witch from Humperdinck's opera ''Hansel and Gretel''.
