Praised for her “Lorengar-like shimmer” and “high-octane emotionalism” (Parterre) Lydia Grindatto is a current Resident Artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts, where she has recently debuted the roles of Violetta, Donna Anna, and Tatyana. Lydia has a special love of romantic opera, and feels particularly at home in slavic languages. Lydia makes her professional debuts at the Santa Fe Opera, Arizona Opera, and Opera Columbus in the 2023/2024 season.
