Maria D’Ambrosio (she/her) of Plymouth, Massachusetts is an active musician and teacher in Bozeman, Montana, serving as a member of the Bozeman Symphony and Helena Symphony Horn Sections. Maria regularly performs with the Great Falls Symphony, Billings Symphony, Intermountain Opera Bozeman, Montana Ballet Company, and Montana TheatreWorks. She has also performed with the Orlando Philharmonic and Baroque Music Montana.
During her time in Boston, Maria served as Principal Horn of the Boston Chamber Symphony and the Ambient Orchestra, featured on the Grammy Awards ‘For Your Consideration’ for the album Bowie Cello Symphonic: Blackstar. In Greater Boston she has actively taught lessons and also performed with the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra, Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra, and MIT Symphony Orchestra. She has toured extensively throughout Europe and South America with performances in the Concertgebouw, Musikverein, Mozarteum, Sala São Paulo, and Teatro Solis.
Maria completed undergraduate studies at Boston Conservatory summa cum laude as a student of Eli Epstein, and completed one year of graduate study at New England Conservatory as a student of Gus Sebring and Rachel Childers. In 2018 and 2019 Maria performed in Montréal, Canada as a member of the Orchestre de la Francophonie under Jean-Phillipe Tremblay. In 2017 and 2018 Ms. D’Ambrosio attended Miami Music Festival’s Orchestral Institute studying with Gregory Miller. A dynamic recording artist for Beartone Studios in Waltham, Massachusetts, Maria can be heard on a myriad of albums internationally including Moss Ives’ Forms.
