Praised for her “beautiful instrument” (Jane Randolph of SF Conservatory of Music), lyric soprano Olivia Siri’s upcoming engagements include the role of Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro in August 2025 with Bach-Millenium Music, under the baton of Alexander Katsman, as well as Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloé with Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony under the batons of Alexander Shelley and Dr. Robert Istad. She has performed the roles of Rima in the West Coast premiere of Elizabeth Greene’s Hajar, 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte), La Contessa (Mese Mariano), Noémie (cover) (Massenet Cinderella), Dean of Faculty (Massenet Cinderella), as well as 1st and 2nd Spirit (Die Zauberflöte). Notable partial roles include Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), and Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), among many others.
Olivia is currently attending Bach-Millenium Music at Santa Clara University, working with Jane Randolph, Alexander Katsman, Marcie Stapp, Milena Georgieva-Bach, and Tim Bach. She was a soloist in their aria and opera scenes concerts with piano and orchestra, and will perform Barbarina soon. She also sang at Miami Music Festival in 2024, working with Dr. Marc Callahan, Sandra Lopez, and Manny Perez in their production of Die Zauberflöte as 2nd Lady and was a soloist in the cast’s aria concert. In 2022, she made her Italy debut at Opera Seme under the guidance of Dr. Matthew Schloneger, Gianni Bruschi, and Lauren Kozyk. While there, she was a soloist in their Broadway and Jazz concert and performed La Contessa in Umberto Giordano’s Mese Mariano.
Olivia teaches voice at Cadenza Music Academy in Tustin and maintains an active private studio when needed. This fall, she will begin teaching in-home lessons through Dexter Music while remaining at Cadenza. She works with various ages and abilities (Beginner through Advanced, ages 5 and up), including those with learning and cognitive differences, while incorporating light movement in her lessons due to her strong background in it. While classical music is her specialty, her students have sung pop and musical theatre repertoire as well. She uses a gentle approach and caters to each student’s needs, while emphasizing proper vocal technique and knowledge of music theory while keeping lessons fun and engaging. Many of her teaching methods stem from her voice teachers, vocal pedagogy classes, and Katherine Rundus’ vocal pedagogy textbook “Cantabile: A Manual about Beautiful Singing for Singers, Teachers of Singing, and Choral Conductors”.
A native of Redwood City, CA, Olivia is currently based in Orange County, CA; she is a 2nd year graduate student at California State University, Fullerton’s School of Music pursuing a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance, studying with Dr. Joni Prado. She obtained a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Chapman University’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music in 2023 where she studied with Dr. Rebecca Sherburn and Patricia Gee.
