Reykwaan Adorno is a tenor from New York City and was recently awarded the Crane Certificate in Performance under the direction of Dr. Deborah Massell at the Crane School of Music. He was most recently a finalist in the Civic Morning Musicals competition, as well as the London Classical Music Competition. With a special interest in new opera, Reykwaan has sung roles in various world premieres such as Turner in I was shot by a cop by Anthony R. Green, and in the chorus in The Strangers by Frank Pesci as a part of the Dominic J. Pellicciotti Opera Composition Competition Prize Finals, and in the world premiere of Mota by William Grant Still, as well as Augusto in Zazà with the award winning Crane Opera Ensemble. Reykwaan has sung in masterclasses with Eric Greene, Lisette Oropesa, Ryan Speedo Green, Robert Swensen, Laura Brooks Rice, and Christopher Sierra. In April 2021, Reykwaan partnered with the Lift Music Fund to put on a mini-concert as a fundraiser to raise money for aspiring young musicians of color to further pursue their studies.
