Bolivian Soprano, Shelén Hughes has a passion for social service and music. Previous 
credits include Atalanta (Handel’s Atalanta), Inez (Mercadante’s I Due Figaro), 
Snegurochka (Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snegurochka), Micaëla (Bizet’s Carmen), Magda (Puccini’s La Rondine), her Carnegie Hall (2019) and her NYFOS debut (2022). She was a young artist at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival (2019) and a Gerdine Young 
Artist at OTSL (2022) performing the role of Frasquita (Bizet’s Carmen). Ms. Hughes is the founder of “Voices for Bolivia”, a growing international non-profit organization for those in need in Bolivia, funded by classical music.
