Caleb Edwards is a double bass performance MM major at Northwestern University Bienen School of Music where he is currently studying under the instruction of Andrew Raciti. Edwards recently completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he studied double bass under the instruction of Rachel Calin. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Edwards began studying the double bass at age 9 and was given the opportunity to attend the Alabama School of Fine Arts where he would study under Richard Cassarino and Benjamin Crofut. Some of the past summer festivals he has participated in were Domaine Forgét, Taipei Music Academy and Festival, Chautauqua Institution, Texas Music Festival, NSO-SMI, and Brevard Music Center. Caleb has also been a section member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago since fall of 2021. Caleb also enjoys performing other genres of music such as jazz and gospel.
