(He/Him) Doug Grimm is a young professional baritone recently graduated from Ohio University. A graduate of UNCG with a dual degree in vocal performance and arts administration, Doug has worked on stage for almost 16 years. Doug is also the Executive Director of OperaJunction, an arts nonprofit dedicated to the creation of curricula for educators to teach and learn about opera. Doug is a former student of Dr. Daniel Stein and Dr. Robert Bracey, and currently coaches with Dr. Arlene Shrut.

Biography

Doug Grimm

Doug Grimm, described as a “handsome-voiced baritone” by Voix des Arts is a young professional baritone recently graduated from Ohio University. A graduate of UNC – Greensboro with a dual degree in vocal performance and arts administration, Doug has worked in both theatrical and operatic stage productions for almost 16 years, most recently playing John Brooke in Mark Adamo’s Little Women. His upcoming credits include Sam in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti and Stephanie Mallarmé in Daniel Swartz’s The Flower Cries Blue. A passionate supporter of the arts, Doug is also the Executive Director of OperaJunction, an arts nonprofit dedicated to the creation of curriculum and resources for all educators to teach and learn about opera. His foremost love is sharing the beauty and joy of opera with those around him and working towards creating and developing an American culture that values this beautiful art form. Doug is a former student of Dr. Daniel Stein, a former student of Dr. Robert Bracey, and currently works with legendary coach Dr. Arlene Shrut. When not on stage, Doug can be found in a kayak, at the rock wall, or spending time with his family and amazing friends.
