Biography

Emilia Vizachero

Emilia Vizachero is an actor, writer, educator, and community organizer from Baltimore, MD. Their first forays into arts activism began during their years at Baltimore School for the Arts, where they were editor of Beast Grrl Collective, a youth-led feminist group that published a zine biannually. Emilia has staged plays to raise awareness for various social issues, devised performance pieces to call attention to misogyny, and written one-acts, most notably Simple Verses In Technicolor, which explores the queer experience. Emilia has trained extensively as an actor, building skills in clowning, Shakespeare, combat, voice, Meisner, Hagen, and Stanislavski. Recently they spent six weeks at the Prague Shakespeare Company, playing Romeo in Romeo and Juliet.
