Nat Pressley is truly in love with musical theatre. After participating in productions with Interlochen Center for the Arts as a young actor, Nat decided they wanted to attend Walnut Hill School for the Arts for high school in order to follow their dreams of becoming a Theatre Major. Since then, they have participated in plays, operas, musicals, and dance festivals both onstage and behind the scenes. Nat plays all genders, and won a North Carolina Theatre Conference (NCTC) leading actor award for their role as "Rupurt Caddell" in Rope, and received merit scholarships to both Walnut Hill School for the Arts and Interlochen Center for the Arts. Additionally, Nat received a voice scholarship through the Beckwith Endowment for the Arts for attending the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. They are currently a Junior double-majoring in Environmental Science: Conservation and Theatre Studies, with a minor in Musical Theatre. In addition to participating in productions as president of the UNCW Musical Theatre Club, Nat also performs with local community and regional companies such as Thalian Association Community Theatre, Big Dawg Productions, and Opera House Theatre Company, several of which received 'Best Musical' and 'Best Ensemble' at the Wilmington Theatre Awards. Nat believes that everyone deserves a chance to resonate with stories that accurately represent them on stage and that storytelling is not separate, but fundamentally connected to the way we interact as a society. Nat is an actor that feels very strongly about being educated and proactive about the world around them, so they do theatre through the lens of a conservationist.
