A freelance singer, conductor, and accompanist/coach based out of Seattle, WA, Nicholas Klein, tenor, is often known for his warmth and clarity of tone in addition to his exceptional musicianship. Nicholas is a Doctor of Musical Arts student in Vocal Performance at University of Washington. In addition to his studies at UW, Nicholas currently serves as the Music Director for Central Lutheran Church in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Prior to beginning his studies at University of Washington, Nicholas lived in Columbus, OH, where he served as a tenured soloist and section leader of the Cathedral Schola at St. Joseph Cathedral, where he also served for 6 months as the Interim Director of Music for the Catholic Diocese of Columbus. Nicholas has been recognized internationally as a soloist and chorus member for his performances in Hungary, Switzerland and Italy (Tuscany region and Rome). Recent roles include Larry/Matt (The Face on the Barroom Floor), and Don José (Carmen - excerpts). Upcoming roles include: Flavio (Norma) and Roméo (cover) (Roméo et Juliette). Nicholas is also a member of Choral Audacity, a professional choir based in the bay area. Nicholas holds a Master of Music degree in Music Education and Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the Capital University Conservatory of Music in partnership with the Zoltan Kodály Pedagogical Institute of Music in Kecskemét, Hungary.
