Trinity Cox is a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL and a founding dance major of Alabama State University’s BFA Dance Program. Her love for the art began while he was a student of dance at Parkway Middle School of the Arts and later, at Jubilee Dance Theatre. Her tenacious passion for dance has led her to learn and teach in various places Camp Broadway, Dekalb County Boys and Girls Club, Atlanta Public School System, AileyCamp Miami, the Montgomery Public School System— made possible with funding from Alabama Council on the Arts, and DanceTheYard are just a few. As a passionate advocate of body longevity and integrity in training, Trinity continues to push the importance of proper and strong foundations as she journeys to teach across the globe. Ms. Cox has had the pleasure of performing in Ellie Caulkins Opera House , Koger Center for the Arts, Germantown Performing Arts Center and more! In 2021 she was featured in BOOM Charlotte’s BOOM Springboard, 92Y Mobile Dance Film Festival, and DOSABAMA Film Festival, where she received the Viewer’s Choice Award alongside film maker, Sarah Emery and Black Lives Rising Film Festival which was curated (by Joey Tomocik) based upon her film Trinity seen at the 92 Street Y. Trinity has been blessed to learn and glean from special teachers, Michael Medcalf, Kavin Grant, Royce Zackery, Luctricia Welters, Lydia Abarca-Mitchell, Delores Browne, Erin Jaffe-Gardner, and mentor, James Atkinson. She has worked with companies such as Collage Dance Collective, Ballethnic Dance company, Watershed Dance Theatre, Montgomery Ballet and Columbia City Ballet where she has danced prominent featured roles in the Ballet’s widely-acclaimed Off The Wall and Onto The Stage.
