Biography

Amy Jong

Amy Jong, a seventeen-year-old cellist, is a junior at the Orange County School of the Arts. Amy was chosen as a member of Carnegie Hall’s NYO-USA 2022 and named a winner of the 2023 National YoungArts Foundation. She is also an avid chamber musician, having won numerous awards with the Alletarre Piano Trio, including the 1st prize of the Charleston Chamber Competition and the grand prize of the VOCE State Competition. 

 

In addition to competitions, Amy has performed for renowned musicians such as Alan Stepansky, Susan Moses, Derrett Adkins, and Joel Krosnick. She currently studies with Sarah Koo Freeman.

 

Amy is also passionate about sharing her music with her community through groups such as the American Youth Symphony and The Endpin Project, a non-profit organization focused on using music to heal communities.
