Abigail Brower is a freelance harpist and arts administrator based in Eastern Iowa. A graduate of Indiana University, she performed regularly with university orchestras and other area ensembles while maintaining an active gig schedule and competing in instrumental competitions. During and immediately following her undergraduate degree she performed with Souther Indiana ensembles and taught private lessons for students of all ages. She recently graduated with a Master of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management from Shenandoah University.

Abigail Brower has been plucking her way into the hearts of her audience since the start of her classical harp training in 2007. An active orchestral and solo performer currently based in Eastern Iowa, she is available for private events such as receptions, cocktail hours, and other social events in the areas surrounding Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. During and immediately following her undergraduate degree, she performed with Southern Indiana area ensembles and taught private lessons for students of all ages. Her most recent performances have been with the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony, including Debussy's La Mer for their 2022-23 season opener. A graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Abigail performed regularly with the university's orchestras and other ensembles while maintaining an active gig schedule and competing in area instrumental competitions. In 2015, she received an Honorable Mention in the US Army Band “Pershing’s Own” Young Artist Competition, earning the privilege of performing alongside the US Army Orchestra and fellow competitors. She was a member of the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra’s Philharmonic Orchestra and harp ensemble during her junior and senior years of high school and won second place in the Young Artist Division of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Harp Competition in 2014. During her time at Indiana University, Abigail was a student of Professor Elzbieta Szmyt, with one semester of study with Anneleen Lenaerts in Vienna, Austria. She recently graduated with a Master of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management from Shenandoah University and spends her weekdays working in arts administration with a local orchestra.
