Megan Pan is a flutist and arts administrator based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Since moving to Texas in fall 2022, she has enjoyed a diverse career working remotely as the Concert Servicing Assistant for Colbert Artists Management while performing as a freelance flutist with local ensembles, including the Tulsa Symphony, East Texas Symphony, and the Dallas Winds, among others. She recently joined the executive board of the Texas Flute Society, serving as Newsletter Editor.
Originally from Columbus, IN, Megan received a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance with High Distinction from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she studied flute with Kathryn Lukas and completed minors in music education and marketing. She later earned her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University, studying flute with John Thorne and Richard Graef and piccolo with Jennifer Gunn and Alyce Johnson. After graduating, Megan spent two years working as the Flute Specialist at Gemeinhardt Musical Instruments in Elkhart, IN, and learning about the flute-making industry.
In 2016, Megan was selected as a winner of the National Flute Association’s Masterclass Performers Competition and had the opportunity to perform at the NFA convention in San Diego, CA. She has also spent summers at the Taipei Music Academy and Festival, Netherlands Flute Academy, Kent/Blossom Music Festival, ARIA Summer Music Academy, and the William Bennett Summer Flute Academy.
