Born August 20th in Benin City, Nigeria. Agho is a Nigerian American musician based in New York City. His sound delves from a range of Afrobeats, Reggae and some pop elements. He moved to the United States at a critical age of 17. This merging of worlds has helped shaped him and this also shows in his musical development. He strongly believes his sound could be the bridge for all Africans and a voice of the Diaspora speaking to the world at large. 

Agho is gearing up for the release of his Debut Project/EP titled 206 on June 30th 2023. 206 is a 6 track project, showing the different range of emotions from political assessments of his native country, to his life in New York City and his encounters with women. 

Fun fact:

Agho is a Top Nigerian Boy Scout. Representing the nation in 3 Jamborees from age 12 to 14 in (Libya 2004, USA 2005 and the UK 2007 for the famous centenary Jamboree). 

The Name “Agho” means Preservation and it’s of the Bini language. Agho holds the name dear and believes his purpose is to Preserve his rich culture for the next generation. He views music as the fastest vehicle to achieve this.

206 is the result score of an exam Agho wrote back home called Jamb. That was the first time he noticed the number and ever since he see’s the number everyday on the clock, to other random things. He thinks it’s a sign and even though he can’t decipher the meanings he decided to name the project 206.
