Tamara (Tammy) Shu is a cellist and aspiring academic based in Bloomington and Indianapolis, IN. She is currently in her third year as an undergraduate student at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying Cello Performance and Comparative Literature.

World premiere of Hippocrates Cheng's new piece, "Soul Sold," written for large mixed ensemble on his DM recital in Auer Hall (11/1/22) from 5-6pm EST, with another performance on a composition department recital (11/3/22) from 8-9pm EST.
In place of a junior recital, I will be performing a mixed solo and chamber recital on December 4, 2022, 8:30-9:30pm EST in Ford Hall at the Jacobs School of Music. The repertoire is as follows:
Tcherepnin: Suite for Solo Cello
Popper: Requiem (for three cellos and piano); Nick Hilliard, Henry Lin, cellos; Zac Leung, piano
Saint-Saens: Cello Concerto No. 1, Op. 33 in A minor; Zac Leung, piano
Tamara Shu is currently a 3rd year undergraduate student studying cello performance and comparative literature at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. A member of the Hutton Honors College, she is also a multi-scholarship recipient, IU Founders Scholar, and a Hudson and Holland Scholar. Tamara is a dedicated student with a passion for music and literature, and has plans to apply to graduate school and/or law school post-graduation.
