Biography
Raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Alexis began playing the double bass at age nine through the strings program at her public school. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music at the IU Jacobs School of Music, studying with Kurt Muroki and Jeffrey Turner. She is a member of the IU New Music Ensemble and frequently performs with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, Alexis was invited to participate in the 2022 New York String Orchestra Seminar. Summer festival appearances include the Aspen Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute and Festival, Heifetz International Music Institute and Domaine Forget.
