Hannah Silverman is a Chicago-based singer, songwriter, comedian, dancer, and actor. As a multi-hyphenate artist, she has recently kept herself busy writing and performing original comedy music at venues such as the famed iO Theater, The Golden Dagger, and Davenport's Piano Bar. She also plays as Christine McVie in The Rumours 5: A Tribute To Fleetwood Mac, dances for various projects and companies like Rasa Dance Company, and performs in Chiago's storefront theatre, most recently in Hair with Madkap Productions. Hannah has toured all over the US and internationally in Ecuador, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Canada, and Russia. She has released several original singles available for streaming, and created a song-commissioning business, Passing Notes, to help folks stay connected during the pandemic.
Growing up in Nashville, TN, and the daughter of acclaimed electric violinist Tracy Silverman and flutist Thea Suits, Hannah was highly encouraged and practically doomed to find herself with a career in the arts. She was encouraged to play and write music from a young age, and began dancing at 2 years old (mostly classical ballet and later modern and jazz). After falling in love with musical theatre in highschool, she supported that passion with classical voice training.
As a teen, Hannah starred in esteemed songwriter Marcus Hummon's new musical, The Piper, during which Marcus wrote a new piece for the show inspired by her voice. She was also featured in Nashville Arts Magazine for her work in Act Like A Grrrl with the Actor's Bridge Ensemble.
Hannah attended Macalester College where she studied theatre, dance, and music and graduated in 2018 with a BA Magna Cum Laude. She also spent a formative semester at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Moscow, Russia where she honed her acting skills.
